Fun for Singing

Finally, we finished the test, after the test everyone was so tired. It makes me tired also for grading their tests. So I decide to teach them a song in English. This song is very easy for seventh graders.

This is an honor class (English Advance) class, so their English level is pretty high. I want to challenge them by changing the words in this song.

Personally, I chose the easiest song for me and my students to be able to sing. The song's name is Tomorrow by Amy Diamond.

Here is the lyrics of the song, "Tomorrow"

The sun'll come out, tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar, that tomorrow
There'll be sun!
Just thinking about, tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs, and the sorrow
'Til there's none!
When I'm stuck in a day
That's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin and say
The sun'll come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on 'til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day away
When I'm stuck in a day
That's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin and say
The sun'll come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on 'til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day away
Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day, away...

Fun for Singing Performance

In my junior one (7th graders) advance class, I taught them an English song, titled "Tomorrow" by Amy Diamond. Students have to change the original song into their own words. After they changed it, they have to sing the song aloud. Personally, I am not a music teacher, so I do not expect them to sing perfectly.

All of them are so creative, I am really enjoying their singing performances.

Thanks to Teacher Monica in Spain is willing to have pen pal with us. Kids are so excited about it.

We are waiting for their reply. I hope they will get my mail and reply to us soon.

I do not know how to encourage my students to learn a new language. I hope Pen pal will help them to learn Spanish. I just want to use what they have learned into real life situations.

They did a great job of using visual adds in this competition. Everyone seems well prepared.

I am the Judge!

Today is Junior Ones' (seventh grader) Jazz Chant competition. I am going to be the judge of this competition. I am very excited to see my students' performance. This is the invitation to be a judge in this competition. This is our Assembly. It is huge and students in this competition they will need to speak louder. In the middle, there's a table where I am going to seat to be the judge. Here I am seating on the table, I am ready. They also gave me grading papers. I am waiting for other judges to come.
Here is the group of J1I who are rehearsing for Jazz Chant. I really enjoyed their rehearsal.
